Boarding Up of Station Is Ordered

Hangout of Louts and Sluts; Wave of Burglaries

Narberth Borough Council President Joseph F. Tripician gave orders this week to board up the north side waiting room at the Pennsylvania Railroad station, rendezvous for beatniks and loiterers at all hours of the night.

For months the station waiting room, though padlocked, has been a trouble spot. Beatniks break the padlock and take possession, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, according to Council President Tripician. They hole up there with their liquor, their pot and their girls until dislodged by the police. The walls of the Victorian building are covered with their obscene scrawls.
